Caterpillars and Chrysalises!

There is great excitement in Junior Infants each day as we check on how our caterpillars are progressing.

First they ate lots of food and got really fat!

Next they went into their chrysalises and hung upsidedown off the top of the box. 3 of them fell down onto the ground, so we reattached them with cotton buds.
Here are the 2 chrysalises that attached to the top of the cup:

Keep an eye on this post and we will add more photos to it when the butterflies emerge 🤞

PLAYTIME FUN

Here are some of the activities we have been doing during playtime. The water was a big favourite (lots of splashing!)

FTD BROTHERS

The FTD Brothers, Jordan and Cian Adams, ran past our school as part of their journey of completing 32 marathons in 32 days in the 32 counties of Ireland. All the pupils came out to cheer them on with their flags, posters, bunting and balloons. Jordan and Cian Adams are completing this challenge to raise funds to find a cure for and support people with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).
