School tour to Farnadolly and Killykeen
We had a fabulous day on our school tour.
First we went to Farnadolly Milk Barn where we saw the calves. the milking parlour and the milk storage facility. Caroline and Andrew couldn't have been nicer. They gave us each a bottle of flavoured milk and an icecream- all made with the milk on the farm.
Farnadolly Milk Barn is open to the public every day and is near Killykeen Park. They would welcome any visitors.
Next we went to Killykeen where we had a teddy bears' picnic. Guess who came running out of the forest? An Actual Bear!!
We went to see the new bridge in Killykeen which was designed by Alice and Anna's dad Ronan.
We went on a bear hunt in the forest.
Finally we stopped in at Killygarry Church to look at the stained glass windows. Fr Jordan met us there and told us a little about the church.

Caterpillars and Chrysalises!
There is great excitement in Junior Infants each day as we check on how our caterpillars are progressing.
First they ate lots of food and got really fat!
Keep an eye on this post and we will add more photos to it when the butterflies emerge 🤞
PLAYTIME FUN
FTD BROTHERS
The FTD Brothers, Jordan and Cian Adams, ran past our school as part of their journey of completing 32 marathons in 32 days in the 32 counties of Ireland. All the pupils came out to cheer them on with their flags, posters, bunting and balloons. Jordan and Cian Adams are completing this challenge to raise funds to find a cure for and support people with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).
