Oral Language Presentations

Well done to all the boys and girls who stood up in front of the class and gave their presentations about the past. We heard lots of interesting things about when mammies, daddies, grannies and grandads were young.

"This was my mammy's cushion when she was small"

"This is a game called Stick-on-stick which my daddy played when he was small"

Food Dudes

We are participating in a Healthy Eating Programme called "Food Dudes". Each day for 16 days we will get free fruits and vegetables at school. If we eat them we can earn stickers and rewards. Next week we will get free lunch boxes for holding fruits and vegetables we bring in from home. We love the videos about General Junk and his Junk Punks. We are always looking out for them in our playground in case they try to steal our fruits and vegetables!

Certificates for completing the Home diary. Fruit and veg at home for 16 days. Well done!

We are artists!

Local artist Siobhan Harton came into our classroom to talk to us about games we like to play outside. We all drew pictures of our favourite outdoors activities and she is going to incorporate them into a large mural for the wall of our new playground. We're getting very excited about our new playground which is opening soon!

Play in our classroom

Play time is the firm favourite in the senior infant classroom. Here are some more photos of some of the stations.

Thank you for the shoe boxes

Thank you to all the people who generously gave shoe boxes full of goodies for less fortunate children this Christmas. Your kindness will make a child somewhere very happy very soon!

If you would like to donate, there is still a chance. The lady will return next week to collect the last of the boxes.
