School Tour

We had a great day at Killinkere Pet Farm. The sun shone on us as we looked at all the animals, played with the toys, rode the horse and pony and went on a trailer ride!

Easter Fun

Thank you to Corinna, our classroom helper who brought in Easter eggs for us to have an Easter Egg hunt.

We also made Easter Nests with melted chocolate, Shredded Wheat and mini-eggs. Mmmm....

Jamie is a Friend Indeed!

Well done to Jamie who won the Friendship Poster Competition in Senior Infants.

Green Day!

We dressed up in green for our last day before the Easter Holidays- to celebrate St Patrick's Day and the centenary of the 1916 Rising.

1916 Commemoration Day

We had a special day at school today to commemorate the Easter Rising of 100 years ago.
Every body dressed up in old-style clothes. We brought artefacts into school. 4th and 5th classes did a Pageant about the events of the 1916 Rising. The senior Infants sang a song on the stage for the whole school. "Bhi Leipreacan ina Shui Faoin gCrann".
Sergeant David Ryan of the Irish Army 6th Battalion (father of Bonnie Ryan) came into school to raise our tri-colour. All pupils and teachers stood to attention while the flag was raised and sang Amhran na bhFiann, our national anthem.
